Kuramadera Temple Niōmon — Attraction in Kyoto

The main gate to the temple and shrine complex that leads up to Kurama Temple at the top of the mountain. The admissions ticket window is just inside the gate. The gate is impressive and has two fairly large versions of fujin and raijin. The notable characteristic of this gate are the stairs that lead up to it. There are a lot of them and they're steep! Consider it a warm-up for the hike that lies ahead...
