If you're seeking a tranquil escape surrounded by nature's beauty, Myojin Pond is a must-visit. Located a 13km walk from the bridge, this serene pond offers breathtaking views, especially during the autumn season. It is basic hike with some slope up-down. In general it is good for all ages except senior citizens.

Why You Should Visit:

1.Mirror-like Reflections: The pond's still waters create stunning reflections of the surrounding mountains, making for picturesque photo opportunities. 2.Vibrant Autumn Foliage: Autumn transforms the area into a colorful wonderland. The vibrant hues of the leaves against the serene pond create a truly magical atmosphere. 3.A chance for Instagram able photos with the pier. However, you need to be...

Imagine this, you're walking in kamikochi, it's a beautiful day, you have much do do and see. You've already done some walking, then you see this line. You go check it out and they say it's 300 yen. You say sure, what for? To see a freaking rock in a small pond, like there aren't other ponds like 5 minutes away, true with different rocks. Told my wife that I'd rather get shot than waste my time stand in line to take a picture and also pay for it. We continued on our merry way and saw the other amazing FREE vista's...

Awesome colors reflected in the pond, the red Shinto Boats are so charming too! Get there before 14:00 or there will be shadows on the pontoon boats and small shrine! The nearby bridge is even cooler than Kappabashi and you should return to Kamikochi on the opposite side of the river compared to how you got there and see both landscapes! There is a simple restaurant on the site and entrance fee under $3 totally worth it! If you can get here on a frosty morning it will look stunning too all trees...

Myōjin First Pond (also known as Ichinomiya-ike) is a surrounded by forest and overlooked by the towering peaks of the Northern Alps. The pond is known for its mirror-like surface that reflects the surrounding landscape. It’s is probably truly picturesque in autumn, when the trees turn vibrant shades of red and gold. However in the second part of April, the views were not particularly striking. The area is considered spiritually significant. A fee (500 yen) is required to enter the pond area.
