Chiran Heiwa Park — Attraction in Minamikyushu

When I arrived there, it was at 3:30pm and the museum closes at 5:00pm. I was thinking it would be enough but not. As you know, the theme was to heavy and after observing the museum, I was really depressed but it was great to visit. Really.

The Kamikaze pilots were in their 10s and 20s. Their smiles were very innocent in their pictures. I don't know they were brain washed or not but of course they couldn't show their true negative feelings in their letters because the letters were censored. A word "Mother" was repeated many many times in their letters.

After leaving the museum, I saw some highschool students on the street. Same age group as the young pilots. I didn't want to think if the young students would be sent to a battlefield. Young people are at the mercy of older people's political decisions. Always. Not only the wartime...

鹿児島市内から、バスに揺られて、約一時間半。まあまあ、思った以上に遠かったです。 ちょっと期待し過ぎだったかもしれないです。

貴重な資料が所々狭しと展示されているのですが、展示しているだけという印象で、もっと整理して、解説もつけて欲しいというのが、正直なところ。 詳しく知りたければ、音声ガイドを買ってくださいということなんだろうか？

語り部のお話がありますとの事で、拝聴しましたが、戦争体験のない館長さん？？のお話でした。 だったら、語り部もいう表現はどうなのか？？ 特に何がという訳もない、通り一変の話しで、少しガッカリしました。

広島、長崎、アウシュビッツと強烈なものを観覧しているせいか、感受性が麻痺しているのかもしれません。

とにかく、ただどーんと大量の御英霊と遺書の展示に圧倒されるという印象です。
