The temple opens its gates from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every day. 写真は2023/11/12に撮影したものです。真っ赤に色付くとまた違った雰囲気で綺麗だと思いますが、色付く前もまた違った美しさがありました🍁 2023年の紅葉期特別入山は以下の通りでした 11月11日（土）～12月3日（日）9時～16時 大人1000円、中高生　500円、割引入山券1000円→400円 JR長岡京駅西口駅前の市営長岡京駅西駐車場（4階・5階）を使用しパーク＆ライド利用すれば、駐車場2階の観光情報センターで400円の割引入山券をもらえます。 These photos were taken on 11/12/2023. 2009年JR東海のCM「そうだ　京都、行こう」で有名な光明寺の紅葉です。

とても見事な紅葉が楽しめます。

そこは参道の紅葉のトンネルです。赤・黄・緑の絶妙な色合いが織りなす紅葉を楽しみながら歩くことができます。

紅葉のじゅうたんも必見です。

境内の横には紅葉の絨毯で造ったハートがあります。

カップルで座ってワンショットするととても可愛いです。

拝観料500円を払って入口と出口を左右に分けて一方通行で約30～40分で廻れますが、写真をたくさん撮ると約2～3時間程かかります。(写真スポット満載)

本堂も立派で入口と出口を左右に分けて一方通行で回廊を廻って上手く一周して出れるようになっています。

西山浄土宗総本山。

建久9年（1198）、法然上人の弟子で平家物語にも登場する熊谷次郎直実（くまがいじろうなおざね）の開基とされています。

境内の参道両側にある数百本のもみじが、晩秋には色鮮やかに紅葉し、京都屈指の紅葉の名所としても有名です。 寺の施設は約2万坪、建物数は32棟で、うち17棟が市文化財に指定されています。 また、樹齢約500年の柏槙（びゃくしん）も市の天然記念物に指定されています。 京都洛西観音霊場第七番札所です。
