The best way I can think to describe this place is an interactive art exhibit. As soon as you walk in you're immersed in lights and color and uneven floor so watch your step! Haha It's easy to see why you almost don't feel how much time has passed while you're in there. It's an easy choice if you are looking for somewhere to take kids of any age but, even for adults, it's a lot of fun. If you let it, it makes you forget about everything happening outside that building and almost be a kid again yourself. Coloring pictures to have them come to life around you is crazy! The thought that went into how this place is built and why is just incredible. The projections on the walls and floors all interact with your movement and even just your presence, depending on where you are. There are things happening here that you don't even expect to interact with you and then it happens and you start trying to figure out what else you can do. My advice is to try to interact with anything and everything around you. For the size of this exhibit, it will keep you and/or any kids occupied for a very long time. Part of what makes this place so cool is that it's not just a constant loop of the same projections over and over. As people participate and add to the whole display, what you're seeing will change and then change again over time. It was a great time, I highly...
Read moreDescription: The activities include 2 drawing rooms with digital interface to interact with drawings( one for flowers and lizards and another separate room for sea animals), 2 interactive rooms, a big ball room, interactive running path and a big slide.
Price: The price is fair for what is provided. 2000 yen for adults. 1400 for kids. 3 and under were free.
I would recommend some good athletic shoes to wear and to save on money where you can.
Sandals and flip flops are not allowed. Shoes for rent, 500 yen each, and lockers for use( have a 100 yen coin, you will get it back after using locker)
Staff: All staff was polite from the front desk to all the activities. English friendly.
Criticism: After an hour of being there not really much else to do, expect to revisit each room and repeat activities.
I think it would have been more fun to have additional rooms for more activities. I think the one in mainland solves this issue by having more activities and bigger space.
I would recommend if you have kids. Especially if you have kids interested in art. A lot of the space is sloped and perfect for sliding/ rolling.
For adults if interested in seeing something new and different worth...
Read moreDrove all the way there today on a Thursday to walk up just to find out they are closed. When I plugged in maps it said it was open. They weren’t open and my kids were absolutely devastated. This definitely needs to be communicated to the public when they are closed, so people don’t waste a day. I’d be happy to fix my review when we are able to actually go in.
Edit: we went on a Wednesday and had an absolute blast! The kids had so much fun coloring animals and watching them come to life. We spent about an hour there. It’s very hands on which is great for kids to learn. I would recommend bringing your own hand sanitizer I didn’t see any there and everything is being touched. The staff were very helpful and very kind! They close the 3rd Thursday every month which isn’t stated online, so keep that in mind while planning a visit. I learned...
