Had a nice walk from an Ena Ryokan to this park. Great view of Mt. Ontake though it can only be seen from a great distance.

この甚平坂公園がある甚平坂は安藤広重の中山道六十三次大井宿に描かれた場所と伝わっています。公園ですが遊具はなく東屋とトイレが有るのみですが、その代わりに美しい御嶽山を眺めることが出来ます。恵那峡からもさほど距離が離れて無く、是非ともセットで立ち寄りたい場所です。駐車場は公園の下の方にあり、3、4台は止めれそうです。

岐阜県恵那市でトイレ利用で寄ったら、保存会の方に偶然お会いでき、いろいろお話が聞けました。現在、遊歩道の坂が昔の道で明治天皇がとおれるように住民総出で削って緩やかにしたり、車が通れるように迂回する新道を作ったり。最近では御嶽山の眺望をよりよくするために各所に働きかけ木を切ったり、電線の整理をしているそうです。
