We fully do not understand everything going on here, but it is impressive for the city to have. It seems the facilities provide educational programs and resources for local residents, but it was beautiful for us tourists to enjoy (along with all the green spaces and parks). The cultural center was gorgeous with its very modern, organic atmosphere. Loved that they have a large kitchen classroom. The flower gardens were pretty and the animal protection/friendship center was fun. You may feed the goats, alpacas and sheep and also see cats and other pets that, we believe, available for adoption. These facilities should be a model for other cities to offer...
Read moreThe Christmas illumination is highly recommended! A musical centerpiece of a rainbow Christmas tree set to classical music was surprising and entertaining. Paved paths made it mostly wheelchair accessible. There is even an indoor area with vending machines (including a coffee cup machine) to warm up around the halfway mark. There are little paths that go through the fields of the beatuiful tulips that are marked with even more lights. If you go there after a stressful day you will be very relaxed when you leave. I suggest you go there with a friend or two. So you can sit down at one of the benches and enjoy the lights together. You need around 30-50 minutes there to walk through the whole park. It's amazing.
