Very crowded on the weekends and it’s like camping in a crowded city. The closest shopping is a long drive away. The price ¥1,200 for bike only is too expensive for such a crowded place. There’s no swimming in the lake that’s still contaminated from the 2011 Fukushima disaster. And all bikes are left unattended when the office closes leaving them open for damage or parts theft. The staff are rude and come around to rudely tell you to stop talking even when you’re not talking loud. You have to push a giant cart to bring your camp gear to an unreserved camp spot. We got a spot on Friday night even on a Japanese holiday weekend in October.
