Best decision to book this Hotel as this is one of Hokkaido Bus Liner’s drop off/pick up area. Best breakfast as well! Although at this time of the year, hotels in Niseko can cost an arm and a leg but this one is one of the cheaper options. #nisekograndhotel #nisekohotels

Niseko Grand is a really great way to experience a traditional Japanese-style room whilst still have a western-style bed. The rooms do feel a bit dated, but that really brings some charm to staying at the place. The onsen was amazing as well. Open almost 24/7 and is a rarity with a mixed-gender open air bath. You will have guests who still go into the mixed-gender bath naked (you need to wear a bathsuit which you rent from the hotel if you want to enter the mixed-gender bath), but if you are a couple it is nice to enjoy a soak whilst talking to each other. The breakfast has a good spread, and the view from the restaurant (on the top floor of the building) is amazing. Refer to the only photo in this review. The only downside is its location from the more happening Hirafu. If you plan on purely skiing/snowboarding, Annapuri is nearby (walking distance) and will have all the slopes that you need. But if you like exploring Hirafu for food, bars, etc, Niseko Grand Hotel is a little far away and you'd need a car or utilize the hotel shuttle bus (not very frequent) to get there.

I really liked staying at this hotel. Room was affordable and clean, even if the place is a bit dated. The breakfast buffet is on the top floor, offering mountain Vistas as you enjoy your morning coffee. Shuttle bus to the Annapuri resort side and other niseko amenities was punctual and super easy to use. Service was top notch, with all staff speaking at least some English. There's a beer vending machine and a shopette which was cool if you want to avoid paying ¥1100 for a beer in town. I went to two restaurants within walking distance that were superb. The onsen is fantastic for relaxing after a long day of skiing and has both an enclosed space (men and women separate) and an open air space that is lovely. Finally, the hotel has a ski locker room where you can secure your gear overnight, free of charge. They will also store your baggage after check out for free which was appreciated. This is a great spot for the money and I'd happily come back. As long as you aren't expecting the ritz carlton, you'll love it :)

Extremely disappointed with this hotel. If you are coming to niesko for a holiday, please choose a better hotel. You deserve better than this. :D This hotel needs a complete renovation. Old design. BAD BEDDING. Poor service. *important* Japanese room does not have a shower. You will need to use a public shared shower area. (Onsen) The hotel room has a tinge of sewage smell, probably due to the kitchen and serving area being directly in the basement. However they staff refuse to admit it and failed to deodorise properly. The dinner is not worth it approx 4000yen however the buffet spread consist of approx 8 different items. The service staff is nowhere near competent. My mum requested the hotel to help my family make a restaurant reservation due to our in ability to speak Japanese. However, they decline to help out and started giving ridiculous excuses. If you relate below 3.8 starts in japan. Just renovate your business completely.

Love this hotel for its quiet and peaceful surrounding. Cosy ambient though it is not a 5-star hotel resort. Hotel provides shuttle bus service to all three major ski area- Miowa, Annupuri & Grand Hirafu. Hotel staff speaks little English but friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are included in the booking we made- awesome. Access to this hotel during winter season from Sapporo or New Chitose Airport can be made from Hokkaido Resorts Liners. We paid ¥4,000 pax one way from Sapporo, and the coach picked us up at JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo for the same rate- Superb. Met a group of retired Japanese from Chiba coming to Niseko for skiing- they come here once a year; take a flight from Tokyo to New Chitose Airport, then transfer to Grand Niseko Hotel by Hokkaido Resorts Liners seamlessly. Overall experience for the first time - Wonderful. Will come back again.

Located away from the happening Hirafu there are daily shuttles although some are limited. L5 breakfast has a great view but too bad no outdoor seating as would be nice during spring and summer. Agree it needs a revamp to continue to provide its traditional feel with a style of zen in mind. The staff was OK and the evening older uncle bus driver was more friendly. Its managed in a very local style not the 3star you expect from the city but there is potential as this place is only 5mins from 2 ski resorts. The hotel management is not flexible like other hotels where they normally can allow an hour or two late checkout as they insist that additional payment required.
