かつては賑わっていたという噂のパークアベニュー。 今は半分シャッター通りという印象。 オシャレなホテルやカフェも少しありますが、ゴミも多く猫も多く、小売店は昭和な雰囲気のお店が多く、閉まったシャッターもシュールな印象。 復旧には、店舗誘致と浄化をだいぶがんばらないといけないでしょうね。

その昔...観光ガイド本に必ず掲載されていた"中央パークアベニュー"。

そのネーミングが気に入り(笑) 歩いて数分のその名も"アベニューマンション"にわざわざ住んだっけ...(笑)確か、りんけんバンドの照屋さんの、CAをする娘さんも住んでたなぁ...。

そうだ...鍵を紛失して、困り果て階上の（教師をされていた）女の人に事情を話し、火事の際に降りるために使うベランダの昇降機で降りた...なんて事もあったなぁ。。。すごく懐かしい。。。

観光地としてお土産物店や飲食店が多く立ち並ぶ様を覚えている...。

少しうねるように造られたその通りを車で流していると、嘉手納基地から出て来る多くの米兵たちや軍属が歩き、当時白く美しく造られた半円に突き出したアーケードの屋根と、南国らしい植え込み、そして青い空が相まって、ちょっと海外ムードすら感じられたなぁ...。

懐かしい。。。

その後は来る度に閑散としてしまったけれど、やはり思い出深いこの場所。。。
