At 22:00 they let kids in, which is great for families looking for a place to sit down together.
But here’s where things went wrong for me: the QR code menu. I can’t stress this enough. QR codes are the very thing that destroy restaurants like this. This place has only five tables and a small bar. That is tiny, cozy, intimate, exactly the kind of place where personal service matters. The QR code doesn’t just feel unnecessary, it feels like a wall between the customer and the staff.
When I walk into a small restaurant, I want that moment of connection. A menu handed to me, a quick word about today’s specials, a recommendation, even just a smile and a “let me know if you need help deciding.” That is the kind of service that makes small restaurants unforgettable. Instead, I sat down and was told to scan a code in a room that was basically empty. It instantly cheapened the atmosphere.
And it showed in the staff. You could tell they were annoyed with our orders, even though we ordered a lot of food. After us, just two more tables came in, not exactly overwhelming. But the service felt more like we were a burden than guests.
The frustrating part is the kitchen clearly has talent. The oysters were some of the cleanest I have had. Even the shells were whiter than what I’ve seen at Oyster Shack in Naha, and their whole reputation is based on oystera. The mussels were excellent, the margarita pizza was perfectly done, and the duck was fantastic. The food was great across the board. But the lack of human connection and the sense that the staff didn’t really want to be there took away from it all.
Food should bring people together, and in a restaurant this size, the human touch is everything. Without it, you might as well be ordering takeout from your couch.
I want to give 5 stars because the food was truly excellent, but the QR code system and the staff’s attitude take so much away from the experience...
Read moreThe food in this restaurant is phenomenal! We loved every bite of all the food we ordered. The price of the food is very decent and worth it, the service was good too and they make sure the presentation of the food is top notch, when my husband and I got home we ask each other which one was our favorite meal and we both cant say a favorite because everything is our favorite LOL. The place is very chill and has a nice music, the only thing to note about is they dont have a parking space but there is a lot of paid parking spaces around the area so make sure you bring yen with you. I would definitely go back to this place and would definitely recommend it to friends and...
Read moreElegant restaurant that'd be great for a nice dinner out.
The carbonara was very thick. It had good flavor, but I barely finished. The bacon was also thick and had great flavor. The cinnamon French toast was the icing on the cake. It was the perfect dessert. I did pay extra for ice cream, and as you can see, you can't even tell it's there; that's how little they gave. That definitely was a disappointment.
Be aware that there is a ¥200 table fee for no reason. Prices aren't cheap. Their menu said ¥1,390 for pasta, but they claimed it was an extra ¥100 for carbonara. Seems like they're trying to upcharge for every little thing, which I found a little...
