Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park is truly one of Osaka’s hidden gems. Spanning a huge area, it offers a perfect escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Whether you’re looking to walk, jog, cycle, have a picnic, or just relax in nature, this park has something for everyone. The wide open spaces, beautifully landscaped gardens, and peaceful ponds make it ideal for a slow, refreshing day outdoors.
What makes it really special is the Sakuya Konohana Kan, a large greenhouse featuring plants from all over the world. It feels like traveling across continents in one place. There are also gardens representing different countries, making each stroll feel like a mini world tour.
The park is very clean, well-maintained, and not usually too crowded, so it’s a great place to recharge. You’ll see families, couples, solo visitors, and even photographers enjoying the scenery. In spring, the cherry blossoms are gorgeous, and in other seasons the park transforms with different colors and flowers.
It’s easily accessible via the Tsurumi-Ryokuchi subway line, and there’s no entry fee for the park itself. If you’re in Osaka and want a relaxing, beautiful day out, I highly recommend visiting Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park. It’s peaceful, spacious, and...
Read moreI actually live next to this park. It is a good place for families and serves as an all purpose park. This park was the site of Osaka Expo 1990 and you can still see the different country pavilions in the park. It has a Dutch style windmill on the top of a hill and the park is famous for its tulips in Spring. Even though the park isn't known for its cherry blossoms, there are some nice ones around the park, especially on the east side of the park, where there in a cherry tree lined path you can walk on. The park also has reserved barbecue areas and different sports facilities like a soccer stadium, futsal, and tennis courts and a swimming pool. The park is easily accessible from the Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi ryokuchi Line, Tsurumi ryokuchi Station. The park would benefit from a facelift, but overall, I...
