** Sano-in Hall ( Senju-do ) 山王院(千手堂)
This is a temple where a monk called Chisho Taishi once resided. This temple has a history of Hokkekyo sect of Buddhism. The temple hall is also known as Senju-do for holding a treasure of Senju Kannon Statue. According to the history there once was a war between two sects of Buddhism regarding concepts of their teachings. After the period of conflict Enchin sect moved to Mitsui Temple in Shiga Prefecture carrying a wooden statue of Chisho Taishi Enchin from this temple. There is no information found on the official website of Enryakuji Temple, but brief information of the temple on a wooden board. It's location is shown on a sign post of Kyoto Circuit Trail as Kitayama 7.
