Shiroyama Park — Attraction in Oyama

Site of Gion Castle ruins is beautiful...full of beautiful big cherry trees so, it’s gorgeous in spring. And the giant Ginko is gorgeous in fall. Beautiful Japanese bridge too. But after crossing bridge they cut almost all the trees so looks like wasteland. Very ugly. Entry to the park has been cleaned up too much, no leaves or natural ground cover. Not natural...But big trees...

This believe this is the best park in Oyama, and definitely the place for Cherry Blossom viewing. On a super crisp clear day you can see Mt. Fuji way off in the distance.
