Very beautiful place with a nice view over the bay.
We took the train from Sendai Station to Rikuzen-Hamada Station, which takes about 35 minutes. We then walked the rest branching off of the big road next to the station as soon as we could (Google Maps first gave as a walking route along that big road). The walk through the forest is very nice, the trees provided very needed shadow on this hot summer day.
We encountered a few other people on the way but most of the time we were completely alone.
There is a little bit of parking at the entrance, so if you have a car, you can drive very close. The last bit is a little hike down to the water and then across the natural bridge.
