Went here to escape Tokyo for the day. Really beautiful part of west Tokyo and super easy to get on the train (chuo line). Bring your own lunch and snacks cos there isnt much around but some good spots to have a picnic by the dam. If you walk a little further there is a forest called 'totoro's forest'. More novelty than anything but has some interesting bamboo areas and tea plantation...

相模ダム　2022年4月30日 所在地　神奈川県相模原市 河川名　相模川水系相模川 型式　目的　G WIP ゲート　ローラーゲート5門 スルースゲート1門 堤高　堤頂長　58.4m 196.0m 総貯水容量　6320㎥ 管理者　神奈川県企業庁 本体着工　完成年　1941年　1947年 駐車場　無料　約10台 トイレ　無し ダムカード　ver.2.0(2017.10) ①相模川水系ダム管理事務所分館で土日祝日年末年始を除いた9:00〜17:00まで配布。 ②相模湖交流センターで月曜日(祝日の場合は翌日)を除いた9:00〜21:30まで配布。 ダムカードは50段以上の階段を登らないとゲットすることができません。相模ダムのダム湖である相模湖ではボートに乗ることができます。トイレが無いので注意が必要です。
