We arrived on a sunday at around 4pm, managed to find parking (the open air carpark was already full by the way), and took the lift up to level 4 where the ticket counter is. The nice lady at the counter told us we dont have to pay for our kiddos (age 3 and 5) so it was great! After buying the tickets (we chose roundabout for 2 adults and 1 senior citizen), we joined a queue of people for the ropeway ride. Queue was orderly and moved fast. There seem to be only one ropeway carriage on each side going up or coming down so this could cause a bit of bottle neck and long wait. We were fortunate we didn't have to wait more than 5 mins after buying the tickets to enter the ropeway. Do note there may not be ample seats in the ropeway carriage and visitors are packed almost to the full capacity in each ride. The ropeway will take you from the get in station to the middle station (seem like there is a also a parking lot Just outside the middle station so unsure if one can actually just buy the mini cable car ticket to get from middle station to the peak). Upon exiting the ropeway at middle station, we walked to the next point where 2 dual car mini cable ride will take you from middle station to the top where the observation deck is. Upon exiting the mini cable car, we arrived at the observation deck where you can choose to walk up to level 3 (where the viewing deck is) or take a lift. At the top at level 3, we took some pictures with the iconic metal structure and bells and the lovers lockets. We were fortunate at being able to witness the sun setting behind the mountain peaks. We left the level 3 deck shortly due to cold temperatures. We walked down the stairs to level 1 where we enjoyed the ice cream (this is a must try! Felt it tasted the best of all the ice cream we have eaten in Hokkaido), hot coffee and milk tea purchased from the takeaway counter. Note that there is actually a restaurant with the entrance hidden behind the takeaway counter. We took the 530pm mini cable car ride back down and along the entire journey down, we saw very very long queues of people at the middle station, boarding point (level 4 of ropeway entry point) and even a longer queue of people at level 1 (queuing just to take the 2 available lifts serving level 1 and level 4), with the queue snaking out of the...

Wow is all we could say.. although we didnt get to see d cityscape, but we got enough of Play Time in the snow!

You dont usually get snow and play in the snow area in some parts of the globe, so its nice to really unwind n play with the fluffs😂.

The journey up is a challenge for those who have a fear of heights, koz we did see one guy and his wife/partner was assuring him of such. In fact, we loved the journey and would want to travel again up n down,

Check our videos and photos out and see for yourself 😄😄

Parking: There are 2 parking areas, which we will recommend to park at the top tier, as u will have lesser of a climb and a better view of the area. Bottom tier is limited and not worth ur time to find, if have then park, if not, dont bother, jz go to ths top tier. Its easier to see and more spacious for family and friends and u wont feel claustraphobic.

Journey: There are 2 joint sections that you need to take before reaching the peak. Don't worry bout where to go, as u will be directed with signage and staff who are present around. The 1st journey will be via a cabled car (similar to those overhead types of pulley systems, while the 2nd journey up will be via a track. Each have their charms and we definitely enjoyed both!

Timings: Each journey takes u to a different feel and you will not feel bored during the journey. Unlike other places makes u feel it after some time, here, you wont have d time to feel it. D sights and smoothness of the journey makes u wana ride more😂. Each wait for each journey (both carriages) is estimated to be at about 15minutes intervals.

Peak: You can walk around the observation deck, inside and out. There are endless things to do, even during the falling snow. Check out our images and see the angel wings that many made. There is a takeout cafe and restaurant to enjoy the view and experience.

Overall: It is definitely a recommended place to go. Even during snow/spring, this place is a must to...

Let me tell you about my experience at the Mount Moiwa Observation Deck—it was absolutely breathtaking! As I made my way up, the anticipation was building with each moment. When I finally arrived at the top, the panoramic views of Sapporo and its surroundings were just astounding. The city lights twinkled like a carpet of stars against the darkening sky, and I felt like I was on top of the world! 🌟🏙️

The journey up the mountain itself was an adventure. The ropeway and mini cable car ride were both thrilling and scenic, giving me glimpses of the landscape that grew more and more spectacular as I ascended. Once at the summit, the biting wind was a force to be reckoned with, but it just added to the sense of awe that enveloped me. 🚠💨

Wrapped snugly in my coat, I braved the gusts to soak in the majestic vistas from every angle. The observation deck, a sleek and modern platform, was the perfect stage from which to admire Mother Nature's show. The wind did its best to steal my breath away, both literally and figuratively, but it was worth every shiver. 🌬️❄️

Even though the wind was strong, it didn't deter me from enjoying the 'Bell of Happiness' on the deck. I gave it a good ring, sending my wishes out into the vast, open landscape, hoping they'd take root in the heart of Hokkaido. 🔔💭

And I must mention the delectable treats at the summit café! There's nothing quite like sipping on a steamy cup of cocoa while gazing out at the sprawling city below. It was the perfect way to warm up and indulge in the cozy mountain atmosphere before making my descent. 🍫☕️

Visiting the Mount Moiwa Observation Deck was an unforgettable experience. It's a place that combines natural beauty, cityscape splendor, and a touch of whimsy with that happiness bell. I'd recommend it to anyone seeking stunning views and a dose of fresh mountain air—just hold on to your hat and enjoy...
