This museum is the hidden gem of Sendai. The location, right in the middle of residential area, might be a little hard to reach via public transport, but it's well worth your time. Aside from exhibitions, they also have live concerts (classical music, folk music) from time to time. Special mention for the architecture. So artful and magical. I feel like visiting a building designed by Antonio Gaudi himself.

住宅街の中に、南欧風の建屋が突如現れるので、場所はすぐわかります。駐車場は二台ほど止めれるスペースがあります。現代アーティストの中本誠司氏の作品が展示されている私設の美術館です。入館料は無料でした。抽象的な油絵と立体オブジェがメインの展示です。美術館の方に丁寧に説明いただきました。現在2階は改装中との事ですが、1階の展示だけでも、氏の抽象画は大変立体的で、またいろんな形や発想が思い浮かび充分楽しめました。住宅の見学もできます。建屋の2階には立体オブジェの展示があり、3階の展望台ではとても見晴らしが良かったです。皆さんに支えられている美術館はとても貴重だと思いました。
