Visiting Kunozan Toshogu Shrine requires an entrance fee, but it’s quite affordable. I bought a set ticket that included round-trip ropeway rides and entry to the shrine and museum, which made it convenient.

The area is spacious, so be prepared for some hiking. The views from the shrine are stunning, with a clear view of the sea.

I came here not for religious purposes but out of curiosity, and I ended up learning a lot about history, especially about Tokugawa Ieyasu and his legacy.

The museum, though small with only two rooms, was fascinating. I just wish there had been more exhibits because it felt like the visit ended too quickly.

You can access from Nihon Daira Terrace by ropeway or walk steep steps from the beach side (main gate).
