二十四の瞳映画村 — Attraction in Shodoshima

This is a lovely.place to visit, even if you are not familiar with the film. It is like visiting a folk museum, as there are well curated displays of artefacts as well as a stream with fish and sea cucumbers to spot. There is a good atmosphere and little cafes and restaurants dotted about. The staff in the gift shop were very kind as was the person on the ticket office. There is a boat service across the bay to the Shodoshima Olive Park...

The best thing is the sea but you'll be spending an awful lot of money here. The entrance itself costs 1000 after they gained popularity and inside it's full of cafés and souvenir shops. Why do I have to pay to pay more money? Unless you really love the movie, there's no much need to visit, plus it's so far away from everything. The sea though, is very amazing. My wife really enjoyed some of the books which were based of some of the movie which were filmed here. If you are a historical japanese movie buff black and white movie etc you may have seen one or two that was filmed here. You can go into every building and see photos and articles from all the old movie. If you don't like old movies maybe not...
