Thank you for the wonderful experience!!!
Why come here? Good food, ridiculously short lines, if any, for the rides, super clean, and even rides the whole family can join in! The wonderful associated hotel is only 2 min walking distance. Staff at the park and hotel are also really friendly 😎.
Im not sure if its normally this empty or its because Golden Week just ended but based on prior reviews, weekdays is definitely best for low traffic.
How to get here:
For us, we purposefully stayed in Nagoya for a few days then left for Suzuka early morning on Wed. It's 2h from Nagoya (Nagoya stn to the Suzuka hotel entrance). We were on the Kintetsu train around 8am, arrived at Shiroko at 8:50am, taxi ($30 cad) got us to hotel around 9:25am. Hotel held our luggage and we stayed out till park closing.
Tickets: you need entrance tickets and either you pay per ride or get an unlimited all day ride pass* (do this!!!!!).
Language: although this park seems more for locals, they do have instructions in English for rides that require interactive input. We didnt need to use Google translate at park.
Food: quite a variety and high-quality. We went to the bun bun pancake bee restaurant. Clean, fast, has digital screen above to tell you when your order # is ready, and the food was delicious. For three adult-sized plates, it came to about $50 cad. We ordered the fried chicken, hamburger steak, and a fruit pancake.
Family/Child Rides: so many of these are family friendly (and you can ride all together) like riding on a car buggy along a track where you can only steer, or an elevated faux "hot air balloon". There are even tiny cars your toddler can drive by themselves with actual pedals for stop and go and working steering wheel!
Older kids/adults: there is a single-person go kart you can drive, some special two-wheeled motor bikes, one jerky rollar coaster (Adventure Drive), and one really big wooden coaster that was unfortunately out of service that day. The motorbike coaster was fun but not scary and I didnt get a chance to do the car racing coaster.
Circuit challenger: this is NOT included in the all day pass and MUST be purchased in advance for a time slot from website.
You get to drive on part of the Grand Prix race track in a kart! Note this event is not everyday and is only "open" for like an hour. Its roughly 5 min to finish the track. You can ride 2 (one adult and one kid) or 2 adults and 1 kid in front of you.
You get a "data card" to start the car and it records how you handled the cart as there are some special "quests". After you are done, take data card back to the entrance and submit it to machine for a paper grading. You can take the result for a "license" later near the front main entrance.
License: every ride or so, staff gives you these paper slips for completing them or meeting a certain goal. You take them to front entrance area and for 300yen each, you get your photo taken and a license printed out! The design of card depends on what slip you get. Eg Putti police will have a cop car and badge design. Quite a cute souvenir !
I will say, some of these rides are geared more for short, light people with flexible hips lol.
There was a kiddy airplane where toddlers sit up front and parents at the back with legs wide open or slanted together to the side in order to fit.
LPT: just stay at the Suzuka Circuit hotel, easy park access, enjoy their onsen, get discounted bundle park deals and the hotel has delicious buffet offerings!
We only planned one day at Suzuka Park and we wish we did at least two because the hotel experience was so great and my son loved the park. In one day, due to the short lines, I feel like we went on 11 unique rides and just had to exit and line up again to immediately go for the next round! So 11 rides but maybe 16 rounds? Lol.
If we can afford another trip to Japan soon, we'd come back to this park in a heartbeat ❤️

Read moreCame with kids 2 and 4 years old. Perfect amusement park for young kids with 80% of rides available for their age/height. Most rides will allow kids over 2 with accompanying adults (other than the obvious fast rides or ones requiring driving/operation). Make sure to purchase the passport and not just the admission ticket. We made that mistake when purchasing the ticket via Klook, only to learn that we cannot upgrade the ticket upon arrival and instead have to pay a slightly cheaper price for the passport. By doing so we spent an extra $50cdn. It was still worth it because purchasing individual ride tickets would have been more expensive and required a well stocked IC card. Rides were all fantastically entertaining for young kids, and food options were surprisingly good (much better quality compared to the likes of Legoland in Nagoya and even food court food). Eat at the Grandview pizza/pasta place, as that allows you to watch the practices in the circuit. On that note, the circuit challenge was also well worth the price and make sure to pre-book as time options each day is different (due to the track needing to accommodate actual practices). Also come on a non-school vacation period weekday and you would not see a lineup whatsoever (and even so, allocate a whole day because the passport will allow you to repeat rides if desired). We spent a good...
Read moreWe visited the park and hotel in oktober. 2 nights 1 day at the park. IT WAS AMAZING. The hotelfacility with onsen was super. Told my kid it was a magical bath and he still believes he has magical powers up till today. Fully charged to find Max Verstappen at the circuit. For some reason my kid was fully convinced Max would still be hanging around since april. We had an amazing ride on the circuit challenger. Saw the motor GP practice. And didn't have enough time to do al the rides. We had no lines exept the one time the entire school whom was on there field trip was in front of us. The food in the park and at the hotel was amazing. I still dream about there fried rice, the breakfast and dinner buffet. The only downside was our European creditcard did not work and there was no ATM at the hotel our parkgrounds. So we had to go to the konbini to get to the atm. (grab your car don't walk) 1 day at the park was not enough. If we have the chance we would go back in a heartbeat 4 nights and 2 days at the park and check out Suzuka city a bit more. Because we found the area stunning. And if possible visit the waterpark area it looked like so much fun.
If you have a kid who likes cars and theme rides GO ! And the souvenirs where to start. At least get yourself one license for...
