After visiting Bitchu Matsuyama Castle, we decided to take a midway break and go to Railkyujicho by tourist bus. Here, we had to purchase entrance tickets, but it was definitely worth it.

保存地区内にあるお寺の中庭ですが、 こじんまりとした「小堀遠州」作の枯山水です。

お寺自体は見られる所はなく、門構えと小さな屋敷を数間残して庭を見るために通る場所として使っている…と言った感じでした。 説明アナウンスが流れるので、それに合わせて庭の造形を見るスタイル。 愛宕山を借景にしているので、雄大さが出ていると思います。 和洋折衷、中国融合で、この規模にまとめているので、見ながら発見するのも楽しみのひとつかと思います。

更に小さな中庭(蓮池)があり、こちらは、まぁ、見なくても…f(^ー^;って、感じでした。蓮が咲いていたら、雰囲気は違っていたでしょうが。

通り道だけの部屋には、なかなか見事な飾り欄間(数枚だけど)があるので、見て...
