This museum is up a mountain. From the free parking area, there are two ways you can go up the mountain. To the left are stairs and to the right is a sloping ramp where cars and taxis and wheelchairs can make its way up the mountain. The castle itself is a replica of the original. The facade with its architectural features was rebuilt from.photos but the inside could not be rebuilt. It was destroyed in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 and then it also sustained damage during WW2.
