Amazing place for kids, especially younger ones (I'd say 6 months to 10 years old). There are amazing playspaces with mosly wooden toys. The bathrooms are amazing (booths train-sgaped for a kid-sized toilet). The Cafe is also nice with dishes that look appealing for kids and are still tasty! You also touch with your admission card when you get into the Cafe so that the time you spend there is not counted in your plan which is really nice and considerate!
The issue that was a bit annoying is that it's one of these places that you pay admission fee and then pay again for many attractions (train, workshops). Since the price is very high to begin with (1800 for 3 hours per kid + 700 per adult) it's a bit strange they make you pay again for all these things.

We went on a public holiday when the zoo and few nearby restaurants were closed. There was literally nowhere to eat in walking distance except the HugHug cafe. The line looked short because the ticketing system will call your mobile when your table is ready, so everyone takes a ticket then goes to play.
We had to go back to Takahatafudo station to eat then return, and even then it was faster than waiting.
