Mont-Blanc — Attraction in Tokyo

I had my first Mont-Blanc back in 2007 and my second last in 2010. The last Mont-Blanc that I’ve had sits happily and heartfully in my stomach right now as I’m writing my review. It’s been almost 13 years since I’ve been in Japan, and have had the opportunity to enjoy this chestnut delight.

Perhaps it’s my nostalgia talking, but the namesake cake really brings back memories. The way this cake expresses the qualities of the chestnut is nothing short of a miracle—taste, texture and scent is expressed in different compositions through the meringue, the two different creams, the cupcake and the chestnut itself is enough to overwhelm any first time eaters.

One dar says that a trip to Jiyugaoka is justified just by this store alone, and anyone visiting Tokyo should visit this wonderful store.

Was initially hoping to get a mont blanc from another store but they ran out. Came across this store from Google maps and decided to try it out instead. The mont blanc here was probably one of the best mont blanc I've had in my life. It had a soft cupcake base that was moist and tasty even by itself, topped with the chestnut puree and a chestnut.
