I love Peter Rabbit, so I decided to go & try this café managed by the omelette restaurant chain Rakeru. The dining room is a covered/secluded terrace with country style decorations. Each table has a Peter Rabbit stuffed animal sitting snugly in one of its chairs, so that you can eat with him/her and take nice pictures even if you're on your own, and a small Peter Rabbit book to read while you're waiting. The waitresses (all girls) are dressed in a maid style, very nice. The menu is limited to a small choice of dishes, rather expensive. If you're vegetarian, like me, go there for a sweet pause, not for lunch. I went there with a friend and we ordered an omurice and a pancake, both good and "kawaii". We haven't understood the choice of our table, which was small with 2 chairs (one of which was occupied by the plush, as I mentioned), while other customers had 4 chairs tables (even a customer who was on her own). At first we thought there was some reservation, but until the end there were many free tables. Maybe this can be improved next time, even just with an explanation provided (we spoke...
Read moreWent there for an afternoon tea. They have a great variety of food. Evening set menu is great, it has just the right amount of sweet, sour and spicy food. I ordered the Peter Rabbit’s Tea Stand (special Tea Stand - British) and it had a mini burger, salad, scone with jam and butter, two more sweets and a chocolate. It was delicious and the portion was enough for one. It comes with a drink which gives you the chance to select your favourite character to be printed on top of your cappuccino and a gift too. They have a picture friendly atmosphere and there’s a book on every table which has the stories of Peter rabbit which you can enjoy while waiting for your food. And a rabbit on every table to take pictures with and enjoy your meal. They give you 90 minutes to enjoy your food once it is served. Overall it was a...
Read moreI adore Peter Rabbit and all of Beatrix Potter’s writings, and I was so excited to visit for tea. They were all decorated for Christmas (we went in early December), and I loved pointing out the tiny Jeremy Fisher and Jemima Puddleduck to my husband. I even pretended to read from the Japanese translation to our friend Peter. I enjoyed the seasonal high tea which came with a take home plate that looks lovely on my coffee bar. My husband got a meat pie, which he enjoyed and warmed him up too. Each piece of food was a work of art, from the salad with the cut out rabbits made from veggies, to the scones with fresh jam, and the “Roly poly pudding” from Samual Whiskers! Absolutely delightful and I’d love...
