Just over 2 hours out of Tokyo by train and then a short hike of 1.5km through a beautiful riverside path from the station. Be sure to ask the tourist information center for the entry point as its just nearby but may be hard to spot. This place is a must visit for all fishos. The river is pristine and has many beautiful vistas. There is fishing options for all levels and you can rent a bbq pit for a small amount to cook your fish by the riverside as you fish. Rod and equipment rental is available. Lots of flies and spinners available but other equipment is limited. Another important note is that they accept cash only and no card/IC so be sure to bring cash. On my trip the entry for 'lure & fly' area was ¥3700 and bbq pits available by size (¥500/¥1000) All in all I really enjoyed myself. 10/10...

My first fishing experience in Japan. A bit pricey to fish for one day, 3800 yen which equals about $35 dollars. There were tons of fish, like 100 per hole, but most didn't bite. I only caught 4 while I was there. Also, there's only a short section to fish for spin fisherman and another short section for Tenkara fisherman. In a couple hours you can cover the whole place. On a positive note, it's only a short drive from Tokyo. I probably won't go there again because of the price and little area you're...
