Rokugō Watergate — Attraction in Tokyo

Rokugō Watergate is a hidden gem that truly impresses once you get down to the water level. At first glance, it might not look extraordinary, but as you approach, the scale and design become striking. I spent several early mornings jogging along the paths, and was genuinely amazed by how many people were practicing baseball at 5 a.m.—all while the temperature hit a punishing 32°C!

The area itself is calm, scenic, and surprisingly varied. Walking or jogging past what seems like hundreds of baseball pitches, the view keeps changing, giving the sense of discovering something new at every turn. The paths are mostly well-kept, ranging from gravel and tarmac to grassy trails. On one stretch, I even found a path overtaken by flora, probably forgotten by custodians, which added a touch of adventure. Water taps along the route made staying hydrated easy, and I didn’t feel the need for formal resting spots.

Getting there is convenient—just 2–3 kilometers from Kamata Station, making it perfect for daily visits. I ended up taking lots of photos, exploring the route, and following the kilometer markers to see where the paths begin and end.

I’d recommend Rokugō Watergate to travelers looking for a serene and scenic spot, but especially to anyone who enjoys running, jogging, or exercising outdoors.
