This tour was one of the highlights of our entire stay in Japan. Rarely have I met such likeable people as the two brothers who run this farm. Their dedication to their work is extraordinary! We learned so much about wasabi and really enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of the fields - it was a bit as being transported to a Ghibli movie :) not to mention that it was by far the best wasabi we ever ate - not just spicy but with a nice sweet taste as well! Thank you so much for allowing us to experience such a unique world

Had a great time despite the rain. The brothers are so friendly and we had a proper laugh battling against the current to walk upstream. We learned about how the minerals in the water feed the wasabi and about their farm. Its a skill that can only be done by people and this is definitely something to add to your Japan travel plans. Its about an hour and a half from tokyo. You'll have to swap trains a few times but you pass by a giant Daruma and plenty sights.

Itashi and momo are great guides. It's a quick hike to the farm around 15 minutes. Refreshing on a hot summer day. Was 40c in tokyo, the area was around 27c and the water was 12c.

Very educational about wasabi, fresh wasabi ground on the spot with rice and bonito for lunch was delicious.

Thanks for a...
