This is a good attraction to get outdoors in and see some of the wildlife visiting Okinawa. Wooden boardwalks lead you through some wetlands that would be impossible to see from the highways. Staff are friendly, the facilities are clean and Coronavirus precautions are observed. Masks are required and alcohol hand cleaners are provided. There is no entrance fee to be paid. There are brochures available in several languages, informing visitors about the wildlife and plants to be seen. Upstairs (on the second floor) telescopes are available to use if, you don't want to get out in the weather. My recent visit was on a cloudy day so, I didn't capture any great wildlife photos. I will return when the sun is shining for...

Please please please do visit! This was an absolute gem. Here is some useful information.

It's free. There is a visitor centre with lots of interesting displays and toilets. They have hand outs to help you spot and down about the sea life and birds there. There board walks are relaxing. If you could bring binoculars, that'll be a huge bonus. Bring food and drinks as there is no restaurant (that we could find) or close by shops. Still, very much...

Amazing place with helpful staff. You can observe the birds using a standing binocular free of charge on the second floor. You could see the birds very well with those (and used the Merlin app to register them). We went out in the boardwalk and could borrow smaller binoculars. Saw a pair of the iconic blackfaced spoonbills as well as osprey, egrets, various herons, all kinds of...
