Once again, thanks to my Japanese sister driving my colleagues and I from Hachinohe to Towada City in late April 2019. Towada Kanchogai-dori is lined with beautiful pines and cherry trees, it is a long stretch of road, and on the way, you can stop by at Towada Art Center. We were in a midst of festival and enjoy mingling around with the locals. There is a row of beautiful sculpture horse on the street and we met a group of japanese ladies in traditional costumes dancing in the street and my colleagues and I join them in the dance. Indeed they so welcome us and they are very friendly, which make us love the place even more...

2024年は4月13日、14日に桜流鏑馬がありますが、桜は温暖化で、散っている時もあります。風が強く寒いので防寒対策を。屋台、イベントあり。 バリアフリー　○ 公園内、噴水の近くに専用トイレもあります。 車椅子の駐車場も近くにあります。 一杯になっていたら、市役所や病院にも車椅子専用駐車場あります。 官庁街も移動は楽です。 カメラマンさんが、最前列で、脚立をたてたままにしてますが、午後からだと、 見るスペースは、空きます。 間近で迫力を感じてください。

One of my favorite spots in Towada. Yabusame twice a year. Great place see cherry blossoms. Good for a quiet walk and to sit...
