I was here in June, together with a Japanese friend. We walked up the mountain, starting close to the cable car station, had a nice dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed the fantastic views from the Terrace. We took the cable car back down to where we parked the car. This is a bit off the beaten path and not easy to get to using public transport, but if you have a car and want to get away from the hustle and bustle in Tokyo, this is definitely a worthwhile visit.

Mount Tsukuba never disappointed me in anytime ! I’ve hiked a lots of time with my friends and hiking circle ! And Koma View Terrace is in the top of the Tsukuba san and the middle of two peaks of Tsukuba san (Mt. Nantai and Mt. Nyotai). Inside the terrace you can find omiyage, restaurant and the most amazing views. The foods are okey. But just next to the terrace you can find more restaurants and which are more delicious! Please go and enjoy the view !

It is on the top of Tsukuba san and just close to Tsukuba cable car.🚠 This observatory offers a nice view of Tsukuba City and Kanto area. We had a chance to visit around evening and we could enjoy the night view of city scape from the mountains.
