This is a shrine dedicated to the blessing of giving safe birth to the future children. My wife and I have visited numerous times and of course are set to head back with our own children. At the back of the shrine is a collection of rocks (Koyasu-no-ishi). Prior to giving birth, parents will borrow a rock from this collection, which was put there after the birth of their own child. The rock usually has the name, date of birth and a description of what they hoped for their child. The borrower of this stone uses it like a charm in the hope they too have a safe birth. And once that child arrives, the borrower finds a new rock of their own from anywhere, marks their rock with similar details and returns both rocks to the pile for the whole cycle...

I recommend the Oykodon set. It's grilled from charcoal. It tasted heavenly. The udon was high quality as well and they get you this soba tea which is also delicious.
Not much parking 🅿️ so you have to park somewhere near.
