Kanazawa Natural Park — Attraction in Yokohama

This is a really nice park! There's access from the highway but also from the local roads. It's a considerably sized place, so if you like walking, running, walking, walking and athletic parks for kids, this place is great. There's also the zoo, which I also recommend. Typically, I'm not one to go to a zoo, but I was happy I brought my kids there.

The athletic park is the main attraction for my two monkeys, and the roller slides are their main focus. You'll see many people with little sleds, and this is what they're for. Kids might be immune to any harm from the slide, but parents are not! Pull keys out of your pocket, wearing a hole right through isn't great. Your butt, back and other bits seem like they'd never be susceptible, but a thick piece of cardboard or a sled can really save your aging bones. Maybe it helps kids, too?

Two parking lots, one right off the tollway and one easily accessible by surface streets. We parked for 600 yen (cash only) in the surface street lot and then they had a free shuttle from the parking lot up the hill to the zoo entrance. My 2.5/5 y/o were free 500 yen for adults (bring cash). Nice zoo, well maintained areas for snack and potty breaks both inside and outside. A lot of walking with some great scenic lookout points on a clear day. The park was nice located on the side of a hill essentially, only one roller slide was available and my 5 y/o loved it, a lot of climbing. Park is not good for smaller kids, didn’t even attempt with my 2 y/o, definitely for bigger kids. As always, the Japanese people are so helpful and friendly....

This is the local forest park of the Kanazawa ward of Yokohama city. The park is linked to multiple entrance from walking trails and motor way. Overall the park is consist of multiple hills in the area. The zoo being the centre jewel, with many special animals, provides you a good experience with your kids or friends or families. Other than this they have a 100m slide, the hill walking trails too.

The restaurant in the park offers a wide range of choice. And the library connects the experience centre to learn about bird sings and insects. Overall it is a very nice place to...
