Beautiful Park. The Google Maps pin is off though. It leads you down a dead end. The stairs you see on your right is the entrance if you’re walking. If you’re driving it’s an entirely different place. I parked on the street which I later found to be illegal and NO parking but I didn’t get a ticket so I won’t do it again. The park itself has many nice hiking paths and when the Sakuras are blooming it’s gonna be totally beautiful and I will be back for that.

It’s a hike from the train station, but it’s a great park to enjoy the cherry blossoms. The park turns into a sea of pink when the blossoms are in bloom. It’s also a great park to catch the sunrise. There are a couple of hiking trails to explore nearby as well.

After taking the walking paths filled with lush green trees up to the peak, you are rewarded with the beautiful view of Yokosuka and Sarushima. Well worth a visit.

First time to visit this place. Its the top of the mountain. From here you can see the Yokosuka Port. And from what I’ve read it has 1000 sakura trees .

2024.4.10 大楠山登山口BS→権現山→池上峠→ 安針塚→塚山公園→鹿島神社→ 浄土寺→横須賀駅 桜はどうかな？と初めて 塚山公園を目指し歩きました 最初の権現山に大変驚いたのは ２月の初歩き時には全く無かった まるで沢?!があったこと 昨日の大雨で?!出来たにしては 地面の穴から湧き水があり そこから10分弱の距離流れ 両岸?!には二輪草も咲き乱れ まるで本当に沢みたいでした！ 塚山公園の桜は見頃感がすごく 見晴らし台ではお会いした 地元の逸見のおばあさんと お花見をご一緒しました コロナ前までは山歩きを されていたということで話が弾み 私の田浦駅を目指す帰路を変更し 横須賀駅へと案内して下さり その道中 塚山の麓で駅近くの 鹿島神社・浄土寺を参拝し 最後は軍港に立ちました 本日は地元の方のご案内で とても色濃い日となり どうも有難うございました！

【横須賀駅から行く場合】 ①改札出て右手の踏切りを渡り、「よこすか横断地下道」を通り、国道16号を北上します。 ②「逸見（へみ）駅入口」交差点を通過し、「汀橋（なぎさばし）」交差点を左折。「京急線高架下」を通過してすぐの分岐を右に進みます。 ③400mほどで「西逸見吉倉隧道」にある分岐点に到着し、選択します。 〈右ルート〉 前半は上り階段、後半は上り坂道で到着します。右下に見える「本町山中道路」沿いを進み、「公園管理事務所」の前を通ります。 ※階段・坂道とも道幅は広く距離は短いです。 〈左ルート〉 前半は住宅地の道路で、後半は上り階段です。※階段は激狭で距離は長いです。すれ違いや追い抜きに気を遣います。コロボックルがあります。 ♣どちらも上り階段と坂道の連続で、夏場は特にきついです。園内も同様で、平坦な場所は少ないです。
