This was a really impressive little museum. It's right on the grounds of the castle ruins and was a nice break from the heat walking around. We did the paid admission which was 500 yen for adults and the kids were free. My kids were so interested in the skeleton of the guy who fell and hit his head. I love that it has a shirt of the skeleton getting up and walking away. They have a shrine you can walk inside and a little house you can walk in. It also gives an overview of the castle and how it was made, the rationale behind the wall design, and other interesting insights but would be useful to have before going up to the castle itself. They only accept cards that only Japanese people would have or know about(paypay etc.). Me and my sons just ended up leaving.
