吉野ヶ里遺跡 北墳丘墓 — Attraction in Yoshinogari

I dropped a star for this because something very funky was going on. This is an enclosed structure allowing you to walk around dug up burial pots with glass walkways. But the smell. And it wasnt coming from the pots. It smelled like rotting grass clippings. As it is a burial mound and grass grew around, lawn mowing must have occured in the recent past, but you would think that the engineers of such an amazing structure, would have worked out a ventilating system that would not allow rotting grass clippings to smother the visiting occupants. 実物を発掘当時の状況で保存された墓地でその数の多さに驚きました。 同じような施設が鹿児島の上野原縄文の森にも有ります。 縄文時代より弥生時代のほうが歴史的には新しいので復元された建物は吉野ケ里はかなり近代的に感じました。 また、広大な歴史的遺産で、規模から考えてここが邪馬台国である可能性があるように感じました。 現在発掘中の場所もすぐ近くですが、新発見となることを願っています。 今後もますます発掘なども進み展示スペースも広る計画もあるようです。 東口から公園の中としては一番遠い場所ですが、公園内を無料バスが運行されていてつかれたらバ...

遠くから見るとこんもりとした芝生の土地ですが、脇に入口があり、中を見学できるようになっています。それゆえ墳丘墓というわけです。身分の高い人が埋葬された特別な場所だそうで、14基の甕棺と一緒に様々な副葬品も見つかっています。直射日光が当たらないため出土した状況がそのまま見られるように保存されていて、一部の床はガラス張りになって上から覗けるようにもなっています。解説もあるので、いろいろ学べます。私たちが訪れたのは2015.3.30ですが晴れていて結構日差しも強かったです。夏は日差しを避けられるので、他を見にに行くより...
