Kosenkaku Yojokan|144 Hikiji, Tohaku-gun, Yurihama-cho 689-0715, Tottori Prefecture, Japan |Tel: 0858-32-0111||Kosenkaku Yojokan is one of the best ryokan we have stayed in Japan. It has great customer service and fantastic facilities. Its traditional charm is retained yet modernised and updated to suit discerning guests. ||Kosenkaku Yojokan is next to Lake Togo and is set in a 19,800 sqm lush Japanese garden setting. We stayed in a triple occupancy Japanese style room for three nights with two meals. The room was spacious and overlooks a large hotspring pond. ||There are plentiful of hot spring (onsen) baths to enjoy, including private family baths with indoor and outdoor (rotenburo) facilities. There are also three outdoor baths, two are gender separated and one is a family bath located on the second level. All the baths overlook Lake Togo. The private family baths are on a first come first served basis for 60 minutes per session. This is a convenient arrangement for all and we have no problems using the baths even when the ryokan had full occupancy. Within the ryokan, there is a large public bathhouse for each gender, with foot massage facilities and ample rest areas. ||Within each bath/vanity area, toiletries are provided for both men and women, including cleaners, moisturisers, hair tonic and shaving lotion. I particularly like the Japanese herbal shampoo, hair conditioner and body shampoo but you have to read Japanese to differentiate the bottles :). There is another set of toiletries in English labelled "Amenity for Men" by Shiseido, a popular brand in Japan. ||There are three mealtimes to choose from as detailed below. |Breakfast 7:30 am, 8:00 am or 8:30 am|Dinner 5:30 pm, 6:00 pm or 6:30 pm||As these are multi-course traditional Japanese meals (Kaiseki), it is important to check-in around 3:00 pm or make prior arrangements with the hotel, if arriving later. ||The dishes were beautifully displayed, delicious, and the quantity was more than sufficient. Opt for the meal plan and enjoy the hospitality of the ryokan. To enjoy the facilities fully, it is recommended that the stay be at least two nights. ||Kosenkaku Yojokan which had been in business since 1884 is indeed a ryokan that stood the test of time. An opportunity not to be missed!||Local name:|湖泉閣 養生館||Local address:|〒689-0715引地144||Note: We visit Japan regularly to enjoy the hotsprings (onsen). We have been to onsen in Kyushu, Honshu and Hokkaido. For this trip, we drove from Kinosaki Onsen to...

Read moreThere are 3 outdoor onsens available, which 1 of them is private onsen. Each customers are granted for 1 hour private onsen among the 3 private onsen. The outdoor one is quite an unforgettable experience, you may check out my photo for the stunning view. But we are not certain that the onsen water is truly from onsen.
Relaxing environment and delicious food, we ordered the most premium one though. We stayed for 1 night cost around 20000 yen per person. I took pictures for all the food, make sure to check it out. We were lucky that fireworks were on that night, it was a special seasonal...
