Terribly overpriced, pretentious and very rude treatment. The place have a good drip coffee although not exceptional. For the espresso lovers it's a "no-no" since they don't serve any espresso based drinks. The baked goods are okay to very good. The chocolate terrine was very good but the muffins below average and therefore terribly overpriced. The view is stunning but nothing more or less from what other businesses have on the shores of lake Togo. We've had a bad experience interacting with the staff. Obviously English is not understood since we ordered a muffin and got a terrine. We don't regret this because the terrine ended up being the best item we ordered and I would recommend it. Nevertheless, the shop has no open "no kids" policy and we were not told anything along those lines when we arrived there. We arrived upon opening (13:00) and were the only occupants until we were told to keep our two toddlers (two families visiting) on the seats. Note there were no highchairs or other child seating available. So the request was to restrain the toddlers on our laps and endure the protests or leave. A really impossible request. I would have appreciated before we ordered that I knew they would rather not cater to families with children. I would have maybe been miffed but not insulted. We were very carefully not to shuffle anything or make excessive noise. With this and the fact we were the only people in the shop they could have at least waited for us to leave and gracefully inform us at the end. 東郷湖の湖畔を眺めながらアンニュイに浸れる少し高めな価格帯カフェ。焼き菓子のテイクアウトも可能。小学生以下は入店ご遠慮下さい店。

女性客9割のオシャレなカフェ。白の屋内に木のテーブルが並び、湖畔ギリギリに迫る窓からは東郷湖の水面が間近に。未就学児が居ないので静かで寛げる空間です。

駅正面の道向かいにある生活道路の奥途中にあるので店の視認が難しいです。ようこそ東郷湖温泉へのアーチと喫茶アスコットの道向かいになります。また店前の駐車場所が狭い上に駐車台数が少ないです。湖岸の壁にバック駐車するのですが、生活道路に駐車する客が多い為か路上に駐車禁止スペースがあります。15時くらいが混雑してました。

ケーキやブリュレ、スコーンなどをカフェで食べられます。レモンケーキはかなる甘め。ブリュレはオススメです。

まず入り口でケーキなどを選んで精算し、テーブルに着席。ほぼ全てのテーブルが湖畔が望める席です。 カフェラテ600円にレモンケーキ550円をチョイス、5分程で提供。ラテはかなりミルク多め。レモンケーキは切り分けるとホロホロ崩れやすく少し焦げたスポンジに、甘酸っぱいレモンアイシングがアクセントになります。全体的に味が強いので、好みが分かれそう。他にショコラケーキやブリュレ、オレンジタルトもありました。甘いの苦手ならスコーンの方が無難かも。

後日、スコーンセット1,300円（アップルカモミールティー）を注文。カウンター向かいの個包装されたテイクアウト用スコーンを破って温めていて、少し驚きました。 スコーンは上下に割れる通常タイプではなくゴロっとした塊でしたが、食感は普通にスコーンでした。そして甘過ぎず楽しめました。ケーキよりオススメかな。ハーブティーもティーバックっぽいけど普通に美味しく頂きました。

林檎タルト720円、ミルクティー600円は寒くなる時期にピッタリ。甘い林檎タルトはタルト部が少し硬めで切りにくいですが、林檎とカスタードがしっとりしていて甘くて美味しい。ミルクティーは癖なく普通。

浅煎りコーヒーは苦味が無いものの強い酸味で好みは分かれるかな。 クリームブリュレはオススメ。パリパリな甘くて少し苦いカラメル表面と中身のモッタリとしたクリームが個別に食べても美味しいですが、一...
