Hiroyama Park — Attraction in Zushi

Hiroh-yama-koen Park is located on the top of hill by the western end of Zushi-kaigan beach. A small zoo is managed in this park. We can enjoy the view of beatiful Mt. Fuji, especially in the cherry blossom season. There is a free parking by the park. You have to drive up carefully the narrow road to the parking. Families enjoy their lunch box party in the park. Small park where I ended up in search of the soda machines because I was super thirsty. Ended up being a fun find! Very popular park with locals it seems, there were quite a few people with kids here. The park is free to enter and has a tiny "zoo" or rather some cages with animals in them. They had peacocks, chickens, turtles, some birds and monkeys. It also has some great views and an observation deck with possibility of seeing Mt. Fuji. A cute park nestled high up-- it's quite a hike to get up there. It's a great spot to take kids, there are a variety of animals (monkeys, roosters, peacocks, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles, and more). Though it's not a petting zoo, they're fun to see. There is a great ocean view, and there are also plenty of benches and tables where you can eat comfortably.
