Read moreMy friend invited me to sail with his dingy here in Zushi beach but I didn’t realize how the entire neighborhood is against tattoo. Even at the boat dock Marine Box when we were washing the boat and I took my t shirt off a man already warned me to cover up my tattoo. My wife went to used the bathroom there and were told by the staff that tattooed people are not allowed. On the beach, there are three patrols walking on the beach warning everyone with tattoo to cover it up. Then we went to the Italian restaurant Cantina, right in front of the beach, after we were seated the waiter asked if I’m wear swim shorts? I said yes, then he said swim shorts are not allowed. I wasn’t even wet! Funny thing is that the tattoo rule is only during the season from June 30th to August 31st. So while there are drunken men taking picture of girls sunbathing or trying to pick up teenage girls are totally fine by the patrols but tattoo is a big deal. Don’t think I will ever set a foot here ever again. Fujisawa is just couple km down the road and don’t have such rules so go there if you have tattoo and just want to relax...

The water was very warm, the sand is fine - like silk. At this time the beach was relatively quiet, considering that it's the beginning of the school year and it's kind of late. I managed to capture the sun going down - beautiful and fulfilling picture. There are some bars and other venues which I did not visit, because it was after or near their closing time. The beach was generally clean, but still there was some trash left here and there (also some thrown by the sea), hence the 4 stars. Still a great...
