Plémont beach is a popular haunt for locals and holidaymakers alike. There are a few caves to explore and a waterfall to the left of the steps leading to the beach.
At high tide the sands are completely covered so it's worthwhile checking the tide times beforehand.
During the summer months lifeguards are on hand for any emergencies.
There is car parking along the left side of the road leading down to the small car park at the top of the steps leading down to the beach. There is a larger car park above the beach where the number 8 bus from St Helier also stops.
There's also a cafe and public toilets at the top of the steps leading down to the beach.
For those keen to explore a little further there are cliff paths leading to Grève de Lecq and Grosnez both of which offer views to Sark,...
Read moreThis is my favourite beach ever. When I got there the other day it was high tide so I went to the lovely cafe and had something to eat and drink and waited for the tide to go out. When it started to go out I watched from a rock and then went onto the beach via the rock rather than steps because there was still water at the bottom of the steps. Its a fantastic beach to explore with different types of rocks around and caves and a waterfall. Its a good size beach at low tide. Its definitely worth coming to this beach and having a nice walk and visiting the area. The cafe is lovely with a great view and lovely staff working there. There are also some toilets and...
Read moreStunning bay with dramatic cliffs and a beautiful beach at low tide (please do check tide times). Lots to see, including caves and a small waterfall. Many steep steps to negotiate down to beach so you need to be reasonably fit, and it's no good for anything with wheels. Park in top carpark, don't bother trying to drive down as the road is narrow and there are only about 5 spaces. Nice cafe with plenty of options, including veggie. Basic toilets, nowhere to wash off. **September 2022 WATCH OUT for Weever fish in the shallows and pools at the moment, the sting is VERY painful.. if you get unlucky treat the area with hot water and take...
