The only reason I’m giving this place of four-star is in short the fact that there wasn’t something that was either free or really cheap that one person would just go there to experience so let me explain.
So the other four stars can be justified in the sense that it was a beautiful place I mean literally the ride up to this place was half the fun it was short, but very cool and scenic, so I really love the ride up here and when we got here, it’s a fairly big place. There are a mini stores where people can buy stuff from a lot of keychains or stuff to remember Kazakhstan from or anything being there were a good amount of stores in terms of engagement. However, when we get to fun activities, what I can remember, half of them were closed and we didn’t go out a really cold time it was late February so it isn’t super cold so I don’t know why almost half of them were closed but I guess from my luck that was the case and that could have maybe impacted the score a bit, however other than that the scene like I said, it was absolutely magnificent and breathtaking. You were almost at the highest point of Alma and you could see the whole city from up there and it’s definitely a view worth experiencing at least once if you visit the city.
Other than that, in terms of food, there were a fair amount of restaurants, cheap and expensive point being in terms of food you’re good. In terms of entertainment like I said, the best thing by far was if I’m not mistaken, the fast coaster, which is to the north of the park. It’s a fairly long track and it’s super fun, two people can ride it together if they want but the main thing was just the speed that you could experienced the ride with.
So like I said, I guess it was my luck that some of the rights were closed but I wish there was something that was either kind of competitive or like a small game where everyone could take pardon I don’t know, but just some thing else I’m really not trying to nitpick here but something was missing for me. Other than that it was a super fun experience and definitely a place that any tourist or even...
Read moreThe park has been excellent experience. Until I took my daughter to the toilet. I am from UAE and we never had any RACIST DESCRIMINATION and COLORISM in all of the countries we visited. But here in Kazakhstan for the first time we were victims of it.
We have to carry water to the park toilet in the mug and I have been helping my daughter to clean up, all of a sudden the lady who guards the toilet pushed the door and snatched the water from me saying I spilled water on the floor! I did not get it at first coz i was focusing on my daughter. I mean it is a mug and how much can I spill!!
I was confused and asked her mug back coz I was not done washing my daughter then she said something and pushed her to the toilet and my baby was stuck there. I totally panicked and screamed and this lady had no remorse to whatsoever she did and started shouting at us saying there are more in line. But I could not let her out of the toilet.
I lost my cool and shouted back like any other mother and she started teasing of our ethnicity in front of everyone.
I stood there for 15 minutes and asked her to say sorry but she did not. I cried my way down and met with police and told them what happened and took me some time to translate but they understood and helped me.
Thanks to them
People like these ladies make it very difficult to live in peace and harmony...
Read moreAs a tourist, I highly recommend taking the cable car—especially if you’re traveling with family—to minimize exhaustion from the uphill climb. The ride itself is enjoyable, and once you reach the top, you’re rewarded with a stunning view of both the city and the surrounding mountains.
There are plenty of activities to enjoy at the summit, making it a great spot for visitors of all ages. Attractions include parks, a mini zoo, a ferris wheel, an upside-down house, and slides, though most of these come with additional fees. For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, there are also several restaurants and cafés that offer affordable dining options with scenic backdrops.
One thing that surprised me during my visit was the presence of bees—quite a lot of them. Interestingly, these bees are stingless, which makes them harmless but still a bit bothersome, especially when eating since they tend to land on food or on you. If you have apiphobia (fear of bees), this is something to keep in mind before going (This is month of August).
Despite that minor inconvenience, the overall experience was breathtaking. The combination of the panoramic views, the fresh mountain breeze, and the variety of attractions made the visit truly memorable. It’s a place worth exploring if you want both relaxation and adventure...
