Built in 1991, Kilifi bridge is the longest bridge in Kenya. It connects Kilifi town (towards the north) and Mnarani town (towards the south). Its length is about 420m and it replaced the ferry which was used to cross the channel before the bridge was constructed. There are beautiful sceneries on both sides of the bridge. Kilifi town and the forest within which the Mnarani ruins are located are clearly visible from this bridge. My favourite view. Every morning as I leave Kilifi and I get back in the evening, crossing this bridge gives me that kind of feeling, hope and peace..looking over the water 💦at the floating boats, some fishermen preparing their fishing nets, few swimmers or none........thinking of how my day is going to be or how it's been...it's gives a whole different mood.

The bridge is in good condition. Accomodates all types of motorists and pedestrians. I have passed on it a good number of times. Ots a key linkage which leads to Kilofi town. On the right we have well reserved hotels such ad Mnarani and on the left we have a dockyard for smaller ships transfering building materials. I guess they are constructing better rams for...
