It was my second time to stay at this hotel first one was September 2016 and I got the room at first floor second building. The room was spacious and bed is comfortable but bathroom is not well clean. Because my room was near the receptionist area, it can be noisy at times so my suggestion is get a room at second or third floor to avoid noise at night. This hotel doesn't have elevator and no free WiFi in the rooms so you have to go lounge area to use WiFi for free and it has outdoor pool. Recently I just stayed in this hotel again this December 2016 with a friend and the room given to us was in third floor which I prefer more because its quiet. The room was okay and good enough for two people but again the bathroom is not well clean. Outside the hotel there are some few bars/pubs and convenient store (you can use LAO KIP or THAI BAHT anywhere here) be sure to try BEERLAO. If you want to see the tourist attraction in Vientiane you can either walk there (15-20 minutes) or take Tuk Tuk and just negotiate with the driver how much is the price to go to the location where you want to go for one-way or roundtrip (if your with friends you can all share the price and save money). The hotel is not really that far from PATUXAI or PHA THAT LUANG so I already walked to go there and its nice to see around the city (don't worry of getting lost because its easy to find and remember the way back). Overall my stay in this hotel is good, price and location was okay. Nothing fancy or extraordinary experience while staying in this hotel, it was good for me because the price is reasonable with a comfortable and safe place to stay as long as your not picky this hotel...
Read moreAfter a long journey I get to reception to check in with the most unfriendly three people. A warm welcome is something they know nothing about.|In my room I see the door is broken and no lid to toilet tank. Dirty plastic bowl left in basin. Pubic hairs all over floor and not only in the bathroom. Disgusted, I go to reception since the phone doesn't work and ask for extra towel which was not understood!! They dont under stand the word towel?? Eventually other guests were tying to help describe this elusive item. Delivered later to my filthy room by one angry looking lady boy. Because I am forced to go to foyer for Wi-Fi as the rooms don't possess such luxuries - a major pain in the ... I decide to have a cool-drink. Back to receptionist who also does not understand the word 'drink'. After a non existent Pepsi my choices are water or Beer Lao. I reach for the beer to find it's warm from the broken refrigerator. Asking for ice was another story. Glared at as if i had asked for a kidney donation. Now with Wi-Fi in uncomfortable heat there is noisy construction going in next door not 10 meters away. Can be heard from room. T.v. comes from the arc small box, no remote- but happy for at least one English channel. Breakfast was cold and no eggs or toast left at 9.30 am. Nor would they bring any more out. I say, fellow travellers GIVE THIS A MISS. A tent would beat this. Absolutely ...
Read moredifferent from the one I have visited before, Nice exterior but bad interiors. door knob was in a bad condition... it was really hard to open it using the key and it's not that intact, there was no peephole, just a literal hole that we had to cover using cotton for privacy. linens are in dirty white color same as the blankets and even the towels, a personal refrigerator without anything inside, the comfort room looks messy for me, no separation for the shower and the toilet, the sink faucet is broken and water keeps flowing in it. There was an air conditioner but didn't kept the room really cool since there was an exhaust fan placed at it's back. All rooms was already occupied so changing it is not even an option...||Giving it 2 stars... dining experience was ok, they serve generous...
