Very nice place to visit, especially with kids. You can easily spend entire day there. Ideal for children 5-9 years old, but plenty of entertainment for everyone else, too. The area is huge and walking distances on forest trails are significant - something to keep in mind if visiting with younger kids or elderly people. Considering the size of the area, the Park could offer more transportation options, including transport to rent (not sure if they allow personal bikes and scooters). Another thing to improve - maps and landmarks. You can easily get lost because the maps are not that precisely made. Read moreVery interesting place in the middle of the woods to spend a day with your kids. Our 6 years old did not want to live due to multiple possibilities to spend an energy outside. Everything that you see is made from wood, every detail is deeply thought about. You can take bikes as area is huge and difficult to walk with small kids, also you can take a small kids wooden box with wheels and carry them and bags by yourself ( a bit exhausting) on a forest trails and up and down slopes and stairs. But you need to go there if you in Latvia ! I never so something like this anywhere in the world. A lot of small houses and endless amount of dwarfs, their houses and mushrooms, everything made from real trees. There a huge free to attend course with obstacles, tower to look from a top over an area, etc. Highly...
Read moreIt's a pretty nice and relaxing place. You can come here with your family and kids because there are a lot of kids attractions and miniature wooden houses and fancy carvings which will make your child or even you as an adult find every detail hidden in these wooden crafts. You can also come here as a photographer or a person who is looking for some inspiration because I can guarantee you will find it here. There is also a quite tall watchtower which you can climb and see the amazing panorama and you can also visit the witches den, the werewolf's house and the devil's pit, if you're lucky you'll even find the witch and will be able to have a talk with her . All in all I really recommend this place, I've been visiting this place for three years in a row and every time there is something new...
