A must visit place in Lebanon. You can park you car in any of the public parkings, take a walk in the old souk, down to the harbor and then to the phoenician wall. I would definitely visit again .

Discover History by the Sea – The Phoenician Wall in Batroun

If you're planning a trip to North Lebanon, make sure to stop by the Phoenician Wall in Batroun – a hidden gem that beautifully blends history, nature, and a touch of magic.

This ancient sea wall, believed to be over 2,000 years old, was built by the Phoenicians to protect the city from sea invasions. Today, it stands as a quiet yet powerful reminder of their incredible maritime skills. Stretching along the Mediterranean coast, the wall offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset, when the sky turns orange and the waves gently hit the rocks.

What makes it truly special is its peaceful atmosphere. You can walk along the wall, feel the sea breeze, and imagine the ancient ships that once passed by. It’s also a fantastic spot for photos, with the blue sea on one side and the charming town of Batroun on the other.

Whether you're a history lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply looking for a relaxing coastal escape, the Phoenician Wall is a must-visit. Plus, you can explore the nearby old souks, grab a lemonade (Batroun is famous for it!), and enjoy a meal by the sea.

Tip: Go during golden hour for the best...

A wonder in itself, built back then to supposedly stop the waves, it still stands tall today, a testament to the technology and construction skills of the day. Batroun lies enroute Tripoli, so try to spend some time here which is worthwhile. The views of the sea along with the sea breeze is something not to be missed. Reach the spot by walk through some very beautiful and neat alleyways after you've parked your car on some busy main road ahead
