Širvėna Lake is a lake located in Biržai municipality, northern Lithuania. It is the oldest artificial lake in Lithuania. It was created in 1575 when the dam was built on rivers Agluona and Apaščia. The lake was built to protect the Radvila castle in Biržai.

Озеро Ширвенос – одно из старейших живописных искусственных озёр Литвы площадью 400 га. Создано в 16-м веке в целях укрепления обороны Биржайского замка-дворца и города Биржая в месте стечения рек Апащя и Аглуона после их запруды. Dirbtinis ežeras, bet didelis. Įrengtas 1575 m., kai statant Biržų pilį buvo užtvenktos dvi upės - Apaščia ir Agluona. Taip turėjo būti apsaugota tvirtovė. Per ežerą buvo nutiestas ilgiausias Lietuvoje mefinis pėsčiųjų tiltas (525 m), jungiantis Astravo...

Šiaip Biržai labai patiko o ypač ežeras ir tiltas per ji. Toks gana ne trumpas yra berods 3 suoliukai ant tilto poiisiui. Tikrai gražus miestelis gaila kad nusėdo tel ir nepadariau nei vienos foto. Teks...
