Draugystės Park — Attraction in Kaunas

Well it's nearly finished and this summer will be welcoming the same as kalniečių (mountaineers) park. There are new roads to drive on pretty nicely with boards, bikes and, skates... But the roads there are a little sandy not so clean after winter. There will be a fountain there it seems. And also there will be a NEW basketball court, beach volleyball, parkour spot, a few different children playspots, a special dog zone and even a decent skate park. So the future looks nice. Just hope they will regirarly clean the curbs, roads from sand after winter, running road small rocks, twigs, and have a lot of trash bin so people won't throw garbage everywhere. Also it would be wise. To open a coffe, tea, dessert, snack shop...

Great place for the small ones. There are plenty of swings there or places for kids to enjoy their time. The fround is soft, so if the kids fall, definitely won't hurt them selves. Furthermore there is a fountain, so on a hot day kids can jump in and have a splashing marathon. There is also an area for kids to ride their bikes, scooters, rollerblades, ect. There are some hill for them to make it more fun. If you don't have kids, it's a big park just to go for a walk, there paths made all over it, so you can have a bike ride or a ride with scooter. I love this place for sunbathing, probably the only park in the middle of Kaunas city where you can see people sunbathing. Also I go to exercise to this park with a sport club during the summer and it’s also very nice as you are surrounded by other people in the park, but also feeling private with our sport group.
