Read moreDid the Müllerthal trail last summer and wow , what a beautiful place! The rocks and caves are super impressive, especially on Route 2 which I think is the most fun (and a bit harder too). The weather was dry, but there were still some muddy bits and my shoes were covered.. bring extra socks if you go! Some stairs were kinda slippery and my friend actually fell once, but we laughed a lot and everything was fine in the end.
It's really well marked, almost too easy to follow, so you won't get lost even if you try (I did once, but that was me not paying attention, lol). Only thing, there aren't many places to buy snacks or drinks along the way, so pack enough or you'll be hungry and thursty by the end like we were. The landscare keeps changing, tho on one part it felt like we walked forever without seeing cool rocks, just forest and even along the road, but then suddenly you’re climbing between giant boulders again., so worth it!
If you like hiking, I totally recommend this trail in Luxemburg. Just avoid the stroller, it’s not possible with so many steps and roots everywhere. And yeah, check the busd times if you are not coming by car, some stops are confusing. Overall, Müllerthal was really one of the highlights...
